Praia Prawns – 9th Avenue, Main Road, Walmer Port Elizabeth. Beautiful Portuguese deli serving some amazing delectable artisan foods. Check out their tomahawk steak, farm churned fresh butter. World-class deli worked and managed by a family-husband, wife and son team. Their Portuguese chicken is also world-class. Follow on Instagram @praiaprawns & Facebook @PraiaPrawns.

Scott’s, seafood restaurant, Mayfair London. This is one of my favourite London restaurants always worth a visit. It is the Mecca for langoustine cocktail, 1 1/2kg Dover sole – cafe de Paris butter. The apple crumble is legendary, atmosphere is always magical and it is always packed and is a great place for celebrity spotting.  Follow on Instagram @scottsmayfair

Chucs Mayfair – 30 Dover street, Mayfair London – Beautiful, quaint small restaurant with less than 22 seats, a small menu of Italian food, and their all – Italian staff add to the beautiful atmosphere. Try the Truffle Arancini and Tagliolini, Cornish Lobster, Chilli Basil and to finish the Affogato … Well worth a detour. Follow on Instagram @chucsrestaurants and Facebook @ChucsRestaurants

The Butcher Shop – The Village Centre, 6312 Street, Francis Bay.  Amazing little butcher shop I have been visiting weekly, with some of the best Cumberland sausages I have ever eaten. Outstanding recipes and casings, her aged rib eye and beef marrow are on a different level than anyone else’s in the Eastern Cape. I recommend you also try the Karoo lamb which is exceptional. Ruya Dubai – Grosvenor House, Al Emreef Street – Dubai Marina. This modern take of Turkish cuisines was a real treat. The staff are super friendly and attractive. The cocktails are in focus with a really cool bar – I tried the Adana kebab, spicy minced lamb, burnt tomato, and the Cheese Pide from the Black Sea with slow-cooked egg with homemade Pastırma or Sujuk, and for dessert Hazelnut baklava whipped kaymak, caramelized milk sorbet, cinnamon – out of this world!
