Glovers Alley, Ireland – An evening at Glovers Alley really didn’t live up to my expectations. Instead, it surpassed them. Exceptional food with wonderful service. An expertly crafted menu with a sumptuous choice of food all presented as works of art. Too many highlights to list but the Dublin bay prawns and the suckling pig deserve a special mention. Quite simply out of this world. Also a great wine list with something for everyone. There is a fab French Sauvignon Blanc for €35 which is incredible at this price. The menu also features a number of wines by the glass with expert tips from the sommelier. Great cocktails for both before and after dinner.
Tang Cafe, Ireland – Gorgeous small cafe opposite Stephens green park so on a sunny day you can grab food and eat it in the park! The food is absolutely delicious – it’s hard to get really nice food at a good price in Dublin but this place does both! Very fairly priced. I had the chicken wrap in homemade bread with hummus, tzasiki and all of the salad. It was so delicious so fresh and so flavourful. The homemade salads all looked so nice too and I’ll be trying them next time.
Taza, Ireland – We were met with a warm welcome and seated in a comfortable spot. The service was quick without ever seeming rushed. We were dealt with by two or three different waiters which was nice, there was never a moment we needed something and had to wait for one person to help us. The presentation of the food is excellent, you can tell the kitchen takes a lot of pride in their work and rightly so. Most importantly it was delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. I had lamb which was so tender it was up there with the best I’ve had. We left behind a good portion of our rice so probably one serving would be enough for two people, especially if you also have a naan bread as we did. All in all I couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, it would be perfect for a special occasion.
Chapter One, Ireland – We booked a table as an anniversary treat. The only time available was 17.15 so we had the pre-theatre menu which is very good value for the quality. I had the duck breast for starter and my partner had the crab meat. Both really good. I had the lamb for main. The flavours were superb. We both had the milk and honey dessert which was delicious. We had a lovely (but expensive) red wine. The service was excellent. Overall a great experience.
The Landmark, Ireland – A Well Run Friendly & Comfortable Pub We visited The Landmark while in the area at the weekend with friends. Passed by a few times but never been in. Table service is great, lots of space inside & toilets were very clean. Ended up speaking with the manager when leaving to commend them for their great efforts considering all thats going on. We really enjoyed our few drinks.
